A Different Approach to Piano Study
Learning how to play the piano is only part of the process. Students also learn how to practice with purpose, recognize and solve musical problems, create and express their own musical ideas, and ensure meaningful progress independently between lessons.
Intentional Practice · Independent Thinking · Creative Expression · Lifelong Musicianship
One Approach. Benefits Beyond the Piano.
For Young Musicians:
Skills that start at the piano to naturally enhance your child's developmental goals
DISCIPLINE & FOCUS
Developing the ability to manage time, sustain attention, and work toward long-term goals.
CONFIDENCE & INDEPENDENCE
Learning to solve musical problems, make decisions, and practice with increasing independence.
CREATIVE AWARENESS
Learning to listen deeply, interpret music, and develop an individual musical voice.
For Adult Musicians:
Making music a meaningful and lasting part of everyday life.
REFLECTION & PRESENCE
Creating space to slow down, focus, and engage fully with the music.
CONFIDENCE & EXPRESSION
Developing musical confidence and the freedom to express individual ideas.
INTENTIONAL PRACTICE
Building a sustainable approach to practice that makes progress rewarding and personally meaningful.
More Than a Weekly Lesson
Learning continues long after the lesson ends. The program combines individualized instruction with tools, resources, creative opportunities, and clear practice guidance designed to help students become increasingly independent musicians.
INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION
Weekly virtual lessons are shaped around each student's goals, repertoire, experience, and pace. There will be a strong emphasis on musical literacy, technique and theory, as well as personalized song choices to keep education balanced and fun.
PERSONALIZED PRACTICE STRATEGIES
Detailed weekly guidance gives students a clear plan for what to practice and more importantly, how to practice.
A CONNECTED LEARNING SPACE
Each student receives a dedicated Studio Google Drive and virtual binder, keeping music, resources, and lesson materials organized and accessible.
Beyond the Keys
Students have access to monthly FingerTip articles that highlight specific practicing concepts; and Artist of the Month which extends your learning beyond technique and theory to build connections between artists of the past and present.
PERFORMANCE & RECORDING
Annual virtual recitals, shareable performance videos, and personalized student webpages give students opportunities to document and celebrate their musical growth.
PROGRESS & REFLECTION
Practice Snapshots are designed to track your practicing and encourage students to reflect on their work between lessons, helping practice become a more intentional part of the learning process.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Mark Raimondi
Piano study should give students more than the ability to play music. My goal is to help each student develop the awareness, independence, and confidence to understand how they learn, practice with purpose, and make music their own. As a certified music educator, I have a BA in Music Education from Westminster Choir College Music Conservatory in Princeton NJ. My expertise have trained me not only in the art of performing, but in the pedagogical process of music education.
